  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 200 g cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 egg
  • 4 sheets frozen puffed pastry (thawed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Dice the potatoes into cubes, boil until tender, then drain and cool.
  2. Sauté the Onions: Cook diced onions in butter over medium-low heat until tender.
  3. Mix the Filling: Combine cooled potatoes, sautéed onions, shredded cheese, cream, mustard, flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Assemble the Hand Pies: Cut puff pastry into rectangles, fill with the mixture, seal edges with egg wash.
  5. Bake: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C), brush tops with egg wash, cut slits for steam, and bake until golden.
