  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • For the glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2–3 tablespoons milk, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine with wet ingredients to form dough.
  3. Divide dough in half and roll out each portion into a rectangle about ¼-inch thick.
  4. Brush rectangles with melted unsalted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar mixed with ground cinnamon.
  5. Roll tightly into logs, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice chilled logs into rounds and place on parchment-lined baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze; drizzle over cooled cookies.
