Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings (drumettes and flats separated)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ stick unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F/220°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry using paper towels to remove moisture.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine baking powder, salt, onion powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and optional red pepper flakes. Toss the wings in the mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the wings on the prepared baking sheet with space between each piece. Bake for 30 minutes, flip them over, then bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Combine it with minced garlic and parsley in a bowl once melted.
  6. After baking, toss the wings with the garlic butter sauce before serving.
