  • 8 ounces dried pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or any preferred variety)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (sliced)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of boiling salted water. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté the sliced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the drained pasta and some reserved pasta water to the skillet. Toss until coated in sauce, adding remaining butter and more pasta water as needed for consistency.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in grated parmesan and parsley. Adjust seasoning if necessary before serving warm.
