  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground turkey sausage
  • 1 lb Velveeta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 loaf party rye bread
  • Optional: Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and turkey sausage until browned.
  2. While the meat cooks, cube the Velveeta cheese.
  3. Once the meat is cooked through, drain excess grease and add the cubed Velveeta to the skillet. Stir continuously until melted.
  4. Mix in Worcestershire sauce, oregano, garlic salt, and regular salt.
  5. Preheat your broiler to high and prepare a baking sheet with slices of rye bread.
  6. Scoop about two tablespoons of the cheese and meat mixture onto each slice of rye bread.
  7. Broil for 2–3 minutes or bake at 350°F for 15–18 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with parsley if desired before serving warm.
