  • 2 and 1/4 teaspoons Platinum Yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (50g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (5 Tbsp; 71g), melted
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour (625g)
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (170g), divided
  • 1 and 1/4 cups granulated sugar (250g)
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar (130g)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let froth for about five minutes.
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, salt, and one cup of flour. Mix on low speed before gradually adding the remaining flour until combined.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let the dough rise in an oiled bowl covered with foil for about one to two hours until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare a greased Bundt pan; melt half a cup of butter and mix sugar with cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  6. Punch down the dough, cut into small pieces, dip in melted butter, roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place in Bundt pan.
  7. Allow to rest for another twenty minutes before baking at 350°F (177°C) for thirty-five to forty-five minutes until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle with icing made from confectioners’ sugar mixed with milk and vanilla extract.
