  • 1 pound uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 pound chicken sausage
  • 2 (24-ounce) jars marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ricotta, parmesan, garlic powder, and oregano until smooth.
  3. Cook spaghetti in salted water for 2 minutes less than package directions; drain.
  4. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the chicken sausage with chopped onion until cooked through.
  5. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; cook for an additional minute.
  6. In the pot with cooked spaghetti, mix in the sausage mixture and marinara sauce until well combined.
  7. Layer half of the pasta mix in a baking dish, spread the cheese mixture on top, and finish with the remaining pasta mix.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and broil briefly until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
