  • 1.30 lb beef loin (boneless center cuts)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (or any neutral oil)
  • 1/3 cup onion (or red onion, julienned)
  • 1 green onion (chopped into 1 inch long pcs)
  • 3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 1/3 cup regular soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (or honey)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil (toasted)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (optional – for a spicy version)

Instructions

  1. Tenderize the beef loin on both sides using the back of a knife and place it in a large bowl.
  2. Add julienned onion, chopped green onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar or honey, sesame oil, and mix well.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for enhanced flavor.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  5. Cook marinated beef in small batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until an internal temperature of 140°F is reached.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest until juices run clear before cutting into servings.
