  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked; drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Cook egg noodles in boiling water according to package instructions; drain well.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese, green onions, and black pepper; fold in drained noodles.
  6. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the noodle mixture, followed by half of the meat mixture and half of the shredded cheese. Repeat layers.
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes until the top layer is bubbly and golden.
