  • 1 ¼ cups brown sugar
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ⅓ cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¾ cup softened butter (plus extra)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tbsp beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in brown sugar until combined. Gradually mix in heavy cream and beef broth, whisking until smooth. Add vanilla and salt; remove from heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat softened butter with brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the flour mixture along with beef broth and vanilla.
  4. Pour half of the pudding base into a greased baking dish. Spoon the batter over it evenly, then pour the remaining pudding base on top.
  5. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
