  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 1 Tbsp milk (for brushing)
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in fresh strawberries.
  5. In another bowl, whisk egg and cream together; add to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, shape it into a circle about 1-inch thick, and cut into wedges.
