  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into large chunks.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, seasoning salt, cayenne pepper, paprika, and freshly ground pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg until fully combined.
  4. Dip each chicken piece into the milk mixture and then the flour mixture twice for extra crispiness.
  5. Refrigerate coated chicken for about 30 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan to around 375°F (190°C).
  7. Fry chicken pieces until golden brown (about 4-5 minutes), then drain on paper towels.
  8. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, hot sauce, and water; cook over medium-high heat until dissolved and boiling.
  9. Toss fried chicken in the sauce before serving.
